Infrared (IR) light is electromagnetic radiation with a wavelength longer than that of visible light. Infrared LEDs are also used in the remote control units of many commercial products including televisions, DVD players, and other domestic appliances. Infrared LEDs are also used for infrared illumination in night vision uses including security cameras.
